Thank you for purchasing a hydraulic top link from AMA USA! A few notes before installation:
- The threads in the check valve are BSPP (British Standard Parallel Pipe) threads. The fittings just need to be hand tightened (approx. 22 ft-lbs); no Teflon tape required (the end with the bevel goes into the check valve).
- The plug AND the rubber seal will need to be removed from the check valve before the hose fittings can be installed; you should see bare steel.
- The check valve can be rotated 90° if you have issues with clearance; you can also take the banjo bolts out of the ports on the cylinder and flip the check valve assemble around completely.
- The ram (or piston) can also be rotated.
